HUGE pic-spam post. Better be prepared.

Somehow, I got myself into yet another fangirlism seizure. Probably due to watching Spielberg's movie again. This time, it was more graphic desire, so I searched the net for some new, funny pics with our beloved intrepid reporter. And I was amazed and amused with the "fake" covers of unknown Tintin's adventures.

Here are my personal favourites.

(Now, if only I would be able to do the Expand/Collapse thingy ...)

Let's start mildly. Official adventure with more cool cover. (Tintin looks totaly BAMF here.)

Old-school adventure. (Oh my fangirl God! Look at Skut!)

We all live in the yellow submarine Marlinspike hall.

Brand-new! The Mars series

Staying in the space theme. To bodly go where no man was before!

More modern Tibet.

Another Tibet. This time, it went horribly wrong.

One representative of Cthulhu crossovers.

You know, I actually feel sorry for the Aliens. They will get their ... body parts kicked.

Christmas came early this year. *Muhahahaha*

Wilde decadence!

LOL ^^

And the total top!

And this as the Kill for end. (I can not have missed it, thaks to my little nieces.)

Credits goes to all those cunning minds and skillful fingers who created those.

Oh these are wonderful! Thanks the fangirl God for fangirls having fangirlism seizures ;D Watching the movie has that effect.

I'm trying to pick a favourite, but they are all so clever. The Hollywood one is Gold. And Tintin in London was my Blackberry wallpaper for about three months. Love the nod to The Beatles :)

Captain's pecs and biceps are looking mighty good in the second cover :D Yes, I'm shallow sometimes XD And the skill of all the artists is amazing. I find the skeletons in the Tibet mountains very funny, I just wish I knew what the title says. As for My Little Ponies, someone has a great sense of humour, and a creative talent. So funny.

I didn't realise there were so many of these fake covers around. Thanks for hunting them all down for us to enjoy :D

I've seen a couple of these, like the Abbey Road tribute and the motion capture Unicorn (I love all the Lovecraft crossover covers too-WANT this crossover). And I love the Hollywood cover too. OMG all the Spielberg shit on that cover = SQUEE. I want Haddock cosplaying as Dr Alan Grant now. I've seen Jurassic Park, like, thirty plus times in my lifetime. LOVE that film. WAAAAAANNNNNTTTT

I saw Jurasic Park in the cinema 4 times when it was first released. I was a mad fangirl, lol. And I had a thing for Alan Grant, so Haddock cosplaying as Grant is like... AMAZING! Good call, Kady ;)

I remember my best friend had a crush on Ian Malcolm. Jeff Goldblum was great in that role. Jurassic Park/Tintin crossover :o AWESOME. I sense another prompt coming on XD

Dr Malcolm was cool. That quote is literally me 90% of the time, when I try to warn someone about something and they ignore me until that problem I warned about happened. Hey, I told you don't spray cooking spray above an open flame because it will explode in your face. Don't you fucking yell at me for your mistake!

Guess what's coming on in less than twenty minutes? I may have all three on DVD (along with Spielberg!Tintin and Deadly Women seasons 1&2) on my college bookshelf but even when edited on TV I have to watch Jurassic Park. I also read the Crichton novels so much my JP1 copy fell apart and I had to buy a new one. XD

Alan Grant is the reason why I love the name Alan. So you may be a total asshole, Allan Thompson, but you will NOT fuck up my love for the name Alan! EVER! XD

I now want that picture. NOW. I think I have a new art prompt to ask for. XD

Cool. Watch and enjoy, my dear :D

I too had that Crichton novel, lord knows where it is now, though o_0

Allan Thompson, but you will NOT fuck up my love for the name Alan! EVER! XD

LOL! Agreed. Sam Neil has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Have you seen Alcatraz? Sam may be old now, but he has timeless charm.

Damn! Where do these ideas come from? XD First Time lord!Calculus, now Jurrasic Park!Haddock XD LOVE IT ;)

What most people don't realize is that whatever they didn't cover in the first and second books was used in the third film... albeit, all messed up. JP3 is a guilty pleasure for me, even moreso than the Lost World. Most people I know hate Lost World more, but it still has a charm to it. My brother and I only watch the third one if we need something to snark at. Even then, that's the most slash toned one so that's the one that always gets the most fanfic. (In a rare multishipper/slasher moment, I actually don't care too much for Billy/Alan. I definitely see the slashy tones but I thought Billy was annoying as fuck.)

I like Sam Neill a lot too. I didn't get to watch Alcatraz, though. Damn. I have an autographed "In the Mouth of Madness" plastic poster on my dorm wall right now (that's the John Carpenter film where Sam Neill's character is trapped in a Lovecraftian world). Granted, it's John Carpenter (also cool) that signed it, but my bro gave it to me because he knew I would like it (and it's signed to both of us).

It's amazing how our fangirlish minds work. I still want to do a Time Lord!Calculus fic. Or at least a shitty pic. XD

I'm not the only one that doesn't like Billy? YAY! Everyone else calls me crazy for not liking him.

There's been rumors of a fourth movie for years. You should Google "JP4 Switzerland" I am so glad that script got rejected! There's been recently another announcement of a fourth coming but nothing else.

There was a Lovecraft crossover prompt but no one filled it yet. The closest thing I've seen to such a crossover are those parody covers. It'd be pretty cool to see Tintin encounter all sorts of characters, from Nyarlathotep (yeah, I actually prefer the Dream Cycle :p) to Randolph Carter to Herbert West to Dexter Ward to Wilbur Whateley...

Oh wow, I love all of these! I actually hadn't seen most of them before. Ok so is Tintin wearing Totoro pajamas in the Nightmare Before Christmas?! Whatever they are I absolutely love it. And the Captain on the Hollywood cover... Oh MY MY! :D And how funny to see a My Little Pony/Tintin reference. What a wonderful collection! Thanks so much for posting these!

(P.S. There are directions on doing a "cut tag" when you post an entry, if you go to the "site-specific markup tags" link when you're posting. I only recently figured out how to do it myself. Just fyi! :) )

If you like Tim Burton's macabre style you might like this fan art by Eeba :)

It's not exactly Nightmare Before Christmas, but it is pretty darn cool.

Oh Gosh, yes, please don't get me started on Captain's body hair. I have a massive kink for hairy Captain Haddock. Chest hair is sexy. And it was the Captain that gave me a kink for beards too XD

wow they're so well made! I didn't know most of them. The one with Jean Talbout is funny lol.

I've seen the Lovecraft ones, but the other 3/4ths I haven't! I love them all, they're so cool! The realistic one of them on the moon made me laugh and sigh all at once. And I spot a Charles Burns one in there too!

Too excellent!
