Now, this is completely out of the blue.
But it is comming.
It is nearing with every second.
Getting closer and closer.
Waiting for the right moment to jump on you and overload you with that intrusive joyful mood.
It is inevitable.
And there is nothing you can do about it.
Christmas are around the corner!
So, everyone has some sort of notification, that Christmas are (is?) speeding up to us. For some people it might be the presence of Christmas themed merchandise and decorations in shops. For others the unending marathon of TV ads for child toys. Or the simple fact that it is already november. But for me, pre-Christmas time starts with the day I see certain TV spot.
This commercial is advert for beverage called "Kofola", something like Coca-Cola or Pepsi, but Czech made. And It became so popular here, that it is shown every year for, duh, seven years or so. It uses a traditional Czech custom, a believe tha man could be able to see a 'Golden Pig' after fasting himself. (And my granny insists that it is because he would be so hungry that he is seeing things.)
Here is the ad. Rough english translation is down below.
Dad: If you will bear it up till evening, not eating, you'll see a Golden piggy.
Girl: And daddy?
Dad: What?
Girl: Will it have those big, crooked teeth upwards?
Dad: Crooked teeth? If you bear it up, he will.
Girl: No-no. I do not need to. I already see him.
Enjoy the true Czech Christmas.

Date: 09/11/2012 23:19 (UTC)From:I've done a list of my favorite Christmas ads as well. It's on my Facebook, though. I'll admit, I'm super biased because I love the Coca Cola bears so much I've written fanfic for them. FANFIC!
